Twenty-One Artists to Join Together This Weekend for Sharon Smith Benefit Concert

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Twenty-one Gospel music artists will gather together this weekend for a benefit concert for the family of Sharon Smith. The concert is scheduled for this Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the House of Praise Church of God in Desloge, Missouri.

The benefit is for the family of Sharon Smith, who recently went home to be with the Lord from complications of cancer. Sharon was the wife of Rev. Allen Smith, pastor of Full-Gospel Tabernacle in Cadet, Missouri. Sharon was also the Editor-in-Chief of SGN Scoops Magazine, and the co-producer of the SGN Scoops Diamond Awards. The benefit is to help the family pay any additional expenses that have not been met by other sources.

The Brannin Agency of Gaffney, South Carolina is presenting the concert, which will be showcasing some of the best Gospel music talent from several states. Everyone is being encouraged to attend this special event. The concert is scheduled to being at 12:00 p.m. and will be continuing throughout the evening. There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be taken.

The following artists have been scheduled to perform: Sunday Edition, The Alabama Spirituals, Firm Foundation, The Cerces, The Ambassadors of Grace, The Wallen Family, Bev McCann, The Bryants, The Singing Auctioneer, Hearts Of Faith, Joe & Gena Ables, Karen Carr, The Dave Williford Band, Kathy Atkins, Loretta Withee, Shane Tecza, Robert Matelsky, Terry Dorsey, Troy Holden, Wendell Johnson, and the Living Grace Trio.

In addition, several items have been donated to be sold at an auction for the benefit.
